Roxanne Wallace, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, in Portland, Oregon. Born on April 13, 1950, Roxanne lived a life enriched by her passions, accomplishments, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

From her early years, Roxanne displayed an admirable spirit, culminating in her graduation from Portland Christian High School in 1968, followed by earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Oregon State University in 1972. Her intelligence and work ethic led her to a fulfilling career as a medical aide, where she cared for others with compassion. She also contributed to her family’s legacy as a bookkeeper for her father's sheet metal company, showcasing her versatility and commitment to family.

On December 6, 1980, Roxanne married Bruce Wallace, the love of her life. Their union brought joy and strength as they built a beautiful family together, welcoming their son David Wallace into the world. Roxanne poured her heart into motherhood, fostering a warm and loving environment that will forever resonate in David’s life.

Beyond her professional and family roles, Roxanne was actively engaged in her community and found joy in various hobbies. She had a true passion for sewing, gardening, and canning, often sharing her homemade delights with family and friends. Roxanne was a devoted member of the Fern Hill Grange #592 in Rainier, Oregon, and also took pride in her involvement with the Rehoboth - a Messianic Congregation in Vancouver, Washington, as well as the lively Red Hats, where she forged lasting friendships.

Roxanne leaves behind her beloved husband Bruce, and their cherished son David, who will carry her memory forward with love and pride. She is also survived by her sister Sandra Ott and brother-in-law Jim Ott, along with her treasured nieces, Amy and Holly Friesen, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Roxanne was predeceased by her loving parents, Conley Stephens and Beulah Baltzell. While their absence leaves a void, Roxanne’s life and the love she shared will forever echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

Her legacy will be celebrated at a graveside service to be held on March 28, 2024, at Apiary Cemetery in Rainier, Oregon. Friends and family are invited to gather at 1:00 PM to honor a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many through her kindness, warmth, and unfaltering devotion.

Roxanne Wallace’s journey was one marked by love, compassion, and a profound commitment to her family and community. Her spirit will live on in the memories she created and the lives she touched, leaving a lasting impact that will not be forgotten.
