Robert Leston Nystrom

Robert L. Nystrom was born in Birkenfeld, OR to Leston D. Nystrom and Winifred Ober Nystrom. He graduated from Jewell High School in 1960 and completed a 2 year auto shop program at Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA. Bob spent his early working years in the logging business and enjoyed working in the woods. The last 18 years of his career were spent as an equipment operator for the Clatsop County road department. He enjoyed solitude, hunting and telling colorful stories of the past. He is survived by a cousin, Allen Holton, of Hawaii, other cousins and by his dear friends Rhonda and Dax Sewell, to whom he was like an Uncle.
