James Leo Tyrrell

April 7, 1945 — February 3, 2021

James L. Tyrrell was born in Yakima in 1945 to Louis and Genevieve Tyrrell. He spent a few years in the army reserves and later attended collage in Seattle. He enjoyed playing tennis. He worked for JC Penny’s and later for the Corp. of Engineers in Enumclaw at Mud Mountain Dam. He had a great time learning how to run heavy equipment. After getting hurt and having surgery he opened an accounting business. Over the years he had many great clients who were also friends .He was one of many that worked to raise money for the fire Dept. where it was needed. This involved many car washes, tickets for raffles, selling corn on the cob at logger’s day in Buckley WA, and going many places to receive donations. In 1997 he moved to Chehalis WA.
In 1998 he married Susan M Jones. They enjoyed golf, travel, especially in Europe and Maui, the Macy’s Day Parade in New York with his sister Teresa and sail boating.
His office ended up at NW Green Homes where they all have big hearts. When Jim could get around he built a great ramp so he could spend sunny days outside. In the last months of his life he faced a lot of confusion with Alzheimer’s. Jim passed in his sleep. Money in Lieu of Flowers may be donated to the Alzheimer’s
He was survived by his wife Susan, four Children and several grandchildren.
