Ila Faye (Harriman) Barker is now with her Heavenly Father after her passing on October 16th,2024 while surrounded by her family following a sudden illness. She was born in Nampa, Idaho on April 29th 1938 to parents Lloyd and Faye Coons. Surviving her at home is her Dear husband and best friend of 35 years Reed Barker. She was previously married to Carl Harriman from 1960 to 1986. She was preceded in death by her daughter Carla Kirby, Grandsons Chad Harriman and Andy Grubbs and Greatgrandson Jack Stoller. Surviving her are Sons Todd (Maureen) Harriman, Mark (Seanna) Harriman and Scott (Terry) Harriman. Also Granddaughter Tara (Josh) Nease who she raised as her own Daughter. Grandsons Jim (Sasha) Harriman and Chris Harriman whom she was a big part of their upbringing. Stepchildren Tammy Wayne and RJ Barker. Granddaughters Naomi (Landon) Connorton, Shawna Stoller and Raylee Harriman. Stepgranddaughters Shannon Gabrielson and Jennifer Wayne.Grandsons Taylor (Ali) Harriman,Nick( Danielle) Harriman, Zane,Johnah,Braden,Alexander,and Legend Harriman.Brandon Williams. Step Grandson Chance Barker. Great Grandchildren: Brianna, Zoey, Jazzlyn, Luna, Cove, Brooklyn, Rogan, Ila-Shay, Luna, Ember, Cade. 5 siblings: Lyle (deceased) Lois (deceased) Jean (deceased) surviving Linda (Stark) Miller and Reva Sexton. Ila had a long career in the banking industry until her retirement in the mid 1990s from Pacific First Federal Savings and Loan.After that her kind heart had much more to share so she chose health care.She gave her kindness,caring and understanding to everyone who crossed her path. She knew she was blessed when she met Reed. They married on March 20th 1989 and shared a wonderful life together. Their union of Faith exuberated exceptional values that were both shared and learned through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Throughout their life together they opened their hearts and home expecting nothing in return but the betterment of others. Ila had many lifelong friends. She was a gifted conversationalist and could make anyone feel worthy after only talking with her for a few minutes. She loved going places and she and Reed had many wonderful adventures in their travels. Ila left a legacy of integrity, kindness, generosity and sense of humor among many other virtues. Death is not the end. There will be a service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (27410 Parkdale Road, Rainier, Oregon, 97048) on November 9,2024 @ 10am.
