Frederick “Bud “Johnson was born on December 13,1932 in Clatskanie Oregon and raised on
the family farm that was homesteaded by his grandparents in the 1800’s.
He was married to Earla Johnson in Kelso, WA
Graduated from Clatskanie Union HS
From there he started logging on the Tillamook Burn and then joined the Airforce, so as to avoid
being drafted. Following his honorable discharge he joined the Air National Guard as an aircraft
mechanic. He retired in 1980 after a total of 28 years in the service. He was a member of the
Longview American Legion
Once he retired from the service he returned to Clatskanie where he lived out his life on the
homestead
Survived by wife Earla, daughter Tena Brundage and her husband Kenny of Westport, OR
Sister Linda Harcombe of White Salmon, WA as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Agnes as well as 5 brothers and
sisters. There will be a private graveside service in November.
